Larry A. Dowler

Larry A. Dowler of Madison passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 89. Larry was born on February 16, 1936, in Wood County, West Virginia to Lawrence E. Dowler and Beatrice (Deem) Dowler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Judie; his sisters, Charlene (Ronnie deceased) Digman of Perry, Ohio; Martha (Rod deceased) Stewart of Vienna, West Virginia; his stepchildren, Mark Mansfield of Jefferson, Ohio and Laura Covey of Ashtabula, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Tobias (Jenifer) Dowler of Columbus, Ohio; his brother, James Dowler of Belpre, Ohio and his sister, Marilyn (Craig) Cunningham of Belpre, Ohio.
Larry was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Uniroyal Chemical Company, Painesville, Ohio in 1999 after over 30 years as a maintenance electrician and union safety and health representative. After retirement, Larry and Judie spent many winters at their Florida home, enjoying the sunshine and golfing. Larry was an avid golfer and reader. He had a true green thumb and spent many hours tending his yard and garden, both in Ohio and Florida.
