Larry A. Drumheller, 76, of Race Street, Sunbury, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Larry was born March 5, 1949, in Sunbury a son of the late Emmanuel T. and Fannie (Carter) Drumheller. On Sept. 29, 1979, he married the former Joy E. Swartzlander who survives.
As a veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Drumheller served with the Marines until his honorable discharge as a Corporal. As a proud veteran, he was a member of the VFW Post # 1532 and the American Legion Post #201 of Sunbury.
He was employed for 48 years with the Sun-Re Cheese Company until their closing.
He attended Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, Sunbury.
His local organizations included membership in the Fraternal Order of Eagles #503 as a Golden Eagle and the Sunbury Steam Fire Engine Co.
An avid outdoorsman, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the mountains to chop firewood. He also enjoyed watching his Philadelphia Phillies and Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his wife Mr. Drumheller is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Evelyn Drumheller of Sunbury, Jamie and Aaron Booth of Northumberland; grandchildren, Adam, Sean, Jessica and Logan, and his many nieces and nephews.
As one of 10 children, Larry was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be private and at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
