Larry Richard Goodman passed away August 30th, 2023 at the age of 75.
Larry was born on September 5th, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Richard and Fay Goodman. He was raised in KC and graduated from Paseo High School in 1965. In the same year, Larry enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves where he served honorably and was discharged in 1972.
Larry met and married Connie Forbis in 1967 and they would have celebrated 56 years of marriage this November. In 1977 they moved with their two children to eastern Independence, MO where they raised their family and live to this day. Larry was a devoted husband and father who never missed a game, practice or recital.
Larry is survived by his wife Connie; two children, Krisi and Scott; three grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, and Cassandra; three great-grandchildren, Makenna, Skylar, and Arabella; and brother, Keith.
Larry Goodman loved life and all that it could provide. He enthusiastically explored all that interested him and would spend hours learning all he could. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix or build and he was always willing to help those in need. Larry will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of family, and a tireless work ethic that approached any obstacle with a “that ain’t no hill for a climber” attitude. Larry Richard Goodman will be greatly missed.
