Larry C Gross

Larry Clyde Gross, age 72, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away March 27, 2026 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital. He was born April 27, 1953 to James and Nina Gross in Sumner County, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Nina Pearl (White) Gross; his brothers, Ronald Gross, and Wayne Gross; his sisters, Linda Herald and Betty Sue Ferguson.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Herald Gross; his son, Larry Clyde (Kristy) Gross, Jr; his daughters, Susan (Bryan) Davis and Crystal Coons; his five grandchildren, Bradley (Stephanie) Gross, Dillian (Katie) Gross, Katelyn Gross, Hunter (Brianna) Gross and Kallie (Kyle) Davis; his two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Raylan Gross; as well as his brother, Ricky Gross.

He worked in maintenance at Twitty City for 13 years. He was self employed for 16 years. He worked with his father at the age of 16 with experience in plumbing and electrical. He was firefighter for the Westmoreland Fire Department. He was a member of the Westmoreland General Baptist Church.

Larry was a great person to a lot of people. He helped so many family and friends in our neighborhood. He loved spending time with his wife, kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved to cook. We will miss our husband, daddy and pa dearly.

Funeral services for Mr. Gross will be conducted on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 1PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery . The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 29th from 10AM till 8PM and again on Monday, March 30th from 9AM till service time at 1PM at Woodard Funeral Home.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Dillian Gross, Bradley Gross, Hunter Gross, Mitchell Hauskins, Trent Hauskins, Austin Wyatt, Brad Stagner and Kyle Davis.

The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one. "Serving you as we would like to be served."
