Larry C. Hall of
Westminster, MD, formerly of Edgewater, died Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Dove House in Westminster.
Larry was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. Larry was a devoted husband to Susan with two sons, David and Kevin. Larry was born on January 20th in Burnley, Virgina at home during a raging snowstorm. The doctor came by horseback. Larry was raised with two sisters, Becky and Anne. Larry's compassion and kindness were felt by everyone who knew him, and he had an extraordinary ability to make others feel valued and heard. Larry was always smiling and ready to share a funny story with anyone to make others laugh.
Larry was more than just a member of our family; he was a cherished friend, a guiding mentor, and an unwavering source of strength. Larry was a dedicated provider for his two sons and his loving wife. Larry worked as a corporate patent lawyer for Westvaco Corp. for 35 years. His legal expertise involved intellectual properties. He had Master of Arts degree in both law and aeronautical engineering. He would happily take time off from work to attend all his son's sporting or academic activities. Larry worked hard, but that never stopped him from being available for either of his sons when called to duty. On weekends, he continued to be with his family and friends while sharing some of his favorite activities, boating, and enjoying sports. He enjoyed sailing and powerboating with family and friends. His sailboat was named "Our Way" because his wife wouldn't agree with "My Way," to encourage his family to support each other on a common path in life. Larry was an avid sailor. When Larry wasn't out on a boat, he participated in and watched sporting activities, snow skiing, and he was a fan of the Washington Redskins. Larry would watch any baseball game he could find, and he was the pitcher for the Westvaco Softball Team. Even on gameday, Larry always puts his family first. He spent many hours each week catching Maryland crabs with his sons to prepare for picking crabs and enjoying an ice-cold beer every weekend with family and friends. On the weekends, he would aways enjoy preparing breakfast for his family while serving bacon and eggs on paper plates. Throughout his life, Larry exemplified what it meant to be compassionate and caring. Larry had an incredible ability to see the good in people and to uplift those around him. It's important to remember the values that Larry instilled in us: to love fiercely, to choose kindness, and to live life to the fullest. Larry embraced every moment with enthusiasm and encouraged us to do the same. In his memory, let us carry forward this spirit of love and courage.
Larry will be remembered not just for his accomplishments but for the warmth he brought into the lives of others.
Celebration of Life services will announced at a later date.
