Chief Larry G. Hembree, 85 of Bremen passed away on January 21, 2025 at his residence.
He was born on September 17, 1939 in Cullman County, Alabama the son of the late Guy Henry Hembree and Essie Lorine White Hembree.
Larry was a Member of First United Methodist Church of Bremen and a Retired Police Chief with the City of Bremen. He was a Veteran of The United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Alan Guy Hembree.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Easterwood Hembree; children, Larry Guy "Chip" Hembree, Jr (Misty), Rodney Brian Hembree (Jodi) and David Alan Hembree; a sister, Jacqueline Deen; grandchildren, Rhett Hembree (Makaela Ware), Ryan Hembree, Hanna Hembree, Haylee Hembree, Allison Hembree, Hadleigh Hembree and Harrison Hembree; and great-grandson, Townsend Stewart.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2025 at First United Methodist Church Branham Hall between 10:30 am and 2 pm.
Services will be conducted at 2 pm from Branham Hall with Reverend David Blackwood officiating. Chief Keith Pesnell, Rhett Hembree, Haylee Hembree and Mayor Sharon Sewell speaking. Rhett Hembree, Ryan Hembree, Harrison Hembree, Ray Sewell, Jr, Doyle King, Sonny Guice and Al Bridges will serve as pallbearers. Bremen Police Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Prayer Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bremen First Methodist Church.
