Larry Dean Hursell

Larry Hursell Obituary Larry D. Hursell, a long-time resident of Warsaw, Indiana passed away in his residence in Fort Wayne, Indiana on July 21, 2025, from medical complications at the age of 66.
He was born in Gary, Indiana on April 16, 1959. After his high school education, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving stateside. Upon discharge, Larry found work in building trades with his handyman skills.
Having coped with physical and emotional disabilities, Larry will be remembered as a soft-spoken, polite, and gentle man with a a warm humor and a genuine caring attitude toward people, especially children and animals. He enjoyed growing and caring for his plants as well as playing the piano at every opportunity.
At a point later in life, he declared his faith in Jesus Christ through the chaplain at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. Larry followed his faith for several years despite many challenges. He enjoyed worshipping alongside his church family as a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Larry is survived by his aunts, Wanda Darlington and Dorothy Carter; two daughters, Angela Christine (Los Angeles, CA); and Amber Mauk (Paduka, KY); and his good friend Richard Ellsworth.
He will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
