Larry E. "Luke" Izer

Luke had a deep love of sports and all those who participated in those sports with him. I always enjoyed the history he told of the area he and his family lived in when we visited or went on family rides together. He missed Kathie deeply when she passed away. It's fitting that they are having a joint Memorial. My sincere sympathy to my niece, Kim. Carrie Izer, Gilbert, AZ (His sister in law).

In 1978 I became the head baseball Coach at Carrollton High School. I will never forget how Luke Izer welcomed me into the Senate League coaches fraternity. Luke was a friend and someone I respected not only as a coach but a terrific and funny person. Later on Luke Izer became an umpire and was a very good one as well! Luke will be missed in Stark County as a tremendous person who always helped others!
