Larry D. Jasper, 73, Bismarck, died March 20, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle of cancer.  Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Joel Winckler officiating.  Burial will be held at 2:30 pm in Fairview Cemetery, Robinson, followed by fellowship and refreshments at United Methodist Church, Robinson.

       Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck and continue one hour prior to services at the church.

       Larry was born July 24, 1933 in Robinson, ND, the son of Emil and Edna (Suckut) Jasper.  He attended school at Robinson High School.  Larry married Jean D. Koenig on September 27, 1953.  He was employed with Bek Telephone Co., Steele, and also at Boeings, Kirkland, WA, until they purchased Uncle Pete Jasper's farm in 1957.  Larry retired and moved to Bismarck in the spring of 1987.

       Larry's first love was his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his very dear friends, Lawrence and Shirley Buchholz.  Larry purchased his plane at an early age and continued to love aviation throughout his life.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising cattle.  Larry was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, the Eagles Club, Lions Club, and the Rural Fire Department.

       Larry is survived by his wife, Jean of Bismarck, ND; his daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Roger Dougherty of Mandan, ND; his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Del and Bernice of Robinson, ND, Todd and Claudia of Bismarck, ND, and Jeff of Wilton, ND; his 13 grandchildren; and his two step-great-grandchildren.

       Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers.
