Larry R. Jones

Larry R. Jones,80, of East Waterford, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Richfield Senior Living Center, Richfield. Born on March 28, 1945, in Thompsontown, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Jerauld R. Jones and Nellie M. (Thompson) Jones. He married his surviving wife, Roxie R. (Rhine) Jones in January of 1970 and was blessed with fifty-five years of marriage before his passing. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter, Amy E. (Jones) Kell, a son Eric R. Jones, four grandsons Kyle Kell, Blaze Jones, Joel Kell, Jordan Kell, three granddaughters Katie Capobianco, Brianne Kell, Becka Kell. He is also survived by great-grandsons Christopher Kell, Nyland Kell, Great-granddaughters Emelia Capobianco, Evelyn Capobianco, two brothers Jerauld Jr. Jones, Ray Lynn Jones, three sisters Ruth Sheaffer, Jean Crawford, Rita Zeigler. Larry was preceded in death by, a brother Walter Russell Jones. Larry worked at Excell Homes. He was a member of the Free Spring Church of the Brethren in Mifflintown. He enjoyed doing counted cross stitching, playing softball, hunting and camping but, most of all, spending time with his family. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, PA 17059, with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
