VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services for Larry Bryant Ledoux, Sr. will be held at Bayou Chicot United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Ferguson Cemetery. Paster Ross Ford and Pastor Leslie Frietch will be officiating services.
Larry Bryant Ledoux, Sr. was born on February 29, 1956 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to LB Ledoux and Mackie Nell Johnson. He retired from BP North America as a Sr. Operations Superintendent after working for various companies in the oil industry for nearly 50 years. Larry was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and he will be greatly missed. He loved playing around on his tractor, cooking for everyone, his favorite color was green, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He has numerous awards from his time in the oil industry. He absolutely loved working in the oilfield. His wedding day will be one of his most cherished milestone along with the birth of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His memory will live on in the hearts of those that loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Audrey Ledoux; Daughter, Toni Lynn Ledoux Ortego(Shawn); Son, Joshua Crane Ledoux (Brandi); Sister, Vickie L. Ledoux Johnston (Ben); Brother, Steven "Bull" Neal Johnson (Jill); Sister in Law, Earlean Crane Boswell; Sister in Law, Juanita Crane Castille; Sister in Law, Melanie "Diane" Williams & spouse; Daughter at Heart, Karla Broussard; Step-Sister, Janice Hazelton and Step-Brother Sherman Ardoin. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his grandchildren: son/Grandson, Curry Crane Ledoux, Jasmine Marie Ortego, Angel Destiny Ortego, Justin Aiden Ortego, Josephine Loraine Crane Ledoux, Ruby Refugio Crane Ledoux, and Serenity Dubroc. Great Grandchildren: Ella Blayke Winstead and Sophia Layne Ledoux.
He now rests with his Father, LB Ledoux; Mother, Mackie Nell Johnson Ardoin; Step-Mother, Hellen Blecher Ledoux; Grandmother, Blanch C. Johnson; Grandfather, Stafford Johnson; Sister, Sandra Lee Ardoin McMurry; Son, Larry Bryant Ledoux, Jr.; Great grandson, Liam Cain Ledoux; Father-in-Law, Arthur C. Crane; and Mother-in-Law, Refugio “Cookie” Crane Courville.
At the request of the family, a visitation will be held at the Bayou Chicot United Methodist Church beginning Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM until time of service on Thursday.
