Inman, SC Larry A. "Luke" McElrath Mr. Larry A. "Luke" McElrath, 71, of 150 Downey Road Inman, SC, went to be with his Lord on Monday evening, February 8, 2021 after bravely fighting cancer and COVID in recent days. He was the husband of Wanda Kay McElrath. Born in Spartanburg County on January 22, 1950, he was the son of Nolan and Drucilla Ballew McElrath, both of whom preceded him in death. Larry was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, and was loved by many family members and friends. He was also a faithful member of Inman First Freewill Baptist Church where he had served as S.S.Teacher, Usher, and Greeter. He retired from Spartanburg Regional. In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by one daughter, Dawn McElrath Fortner (Sean), one step son, Chris Reaves; one sister, Ruth Ann Sitton, one brother, Gerald McElrath (Lib), and three grandchildren, Dylan and Kylie Fortner and Steven Norton. He was predeceased by one sister, Linda Crawford. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10th at Inman First Freewill Baptist Church, 90 Blackstock Road. A Celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 11th at Inman First Freewill Baptist Church in Inman, SC with Rev Sean Fortner and Rev Tim Hackett officiating. Burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens in Wellford, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman First Freewill Baptist Church. 90 Blackstock Rd., Inman, SC 29349.
