Larry Byrd McSpadden, a beloved member of the Cleveland community, passed away on December 24, 2023, in Cleveland, TN, at the age of 71. He was born on May 7, 1952, in Dothan, AL, to his loving parents.
Larry led a fulfilling life, marked by his dedication to serving others. He pursued a career in customer service within the banking industry and worked tirelessly to provide excellent care to his clients. Larry's commitment to his profession was recognized and appreciated by all who had the pleasure of working with him.
Beyond his professional life, Larry was an active member of the community. He passionately volunteered with the Junior Miss/Distinguished Young Women's Program and was known for his active involvement in the Kiwanis Club. Larry's enthusiasm and dedication shone through in his role as a chamber ambassador, where he worked tirelessly to promote local businesses and foster strong relationships within the community. Larry's love for travel also led him to lead "The Rockers," a travel group sponsored by Southern Heritage Bank.
He is survived by his siblings, Donald McSpadden, Greg McSpadden, Brenda Ogletree, and Yvonne Martin, who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
A funeral service to honor Larry's life will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 30, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The service will be officiated by Rev. Jerry Everley. Following the graveside service, a memorial reception will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Olive Branch Event Center, located at 109 Interstate Drive, Cleveland, TN 37312.
