Larry Earl Murdock was born on March 24, 1938 in Heber Utah to Forrest Milton Murdock and Elva Smith Murdock. He had one younger sister, KarAnn Rasmussen who proceeded him in death. Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delores Witt Murdock. He returned home to his heavenly home on December 2, 2025, the date of his 53 anniversary. He was the father of 6 children, Yvette Crabtree Gerberding, Darrin Crabtree, Durinda Murdock, Tyler Murdock, Dustin Murdock and Bliss Murdock Price. He had 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Larry lived in Utah until his teenage years when the family moved to Marysville California where he graduated high school. He then joined the Marines. He was stationed in Hawaii in the amphibious tractor unit for which he was a crew chief.
He traveled all over the south pacific during his tour of duty. He later worked on several large ranches loving every minute of being a cowboy. Being a cowboy was his boyhood dream.
He later became a real estate agent selling many homes and ranches in California.
He was a salesman for the rest of his life, even during the time he built wagon wheels. His last employment was for the Washington Fish and Game, appraising animals that had been killed by the wolf and cougar population.
Larry loved being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. He served in many positions during his life. Elders Quorn President, Stake Missionary, Counselor in the stake mission presidency, bishops counselor, worked in the Portland Temple for 5 years and the Spokane Temple for 13 years. He spent 4 year as the Bishop to a young adult ward in Bend Oregon which included the Redmond and Bend stakes. Many of these young adults are still part of our extended family. He loved and was totally dedicated to his family and to his church callings.
