Larry J. Neeley, 64, of Kendallville, IN, formerly of Marshall died on Thursday July 5, 2007, after being stricken suddenly while on vacation in Battle Creek. Mr. Neeley was born on July 5, 1943, in Ada, Ohio to Ray and Mary (Combs) Neeley. He attended Olivet Schools. On September 22, 1962, he married the former Mary Lou Williamson in Marshall. She survives. Mr. Neeley farmed for many years in Lee Township. He was also a sales consultant and appraiser for the foundry industry for many years. Mr. Neeley was a former member of the Marshall Moose Lodge #676, and Marshall Jaycees. He also was a member of the Kendallville Elk’s and Eagle’s Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, camping and boating. He especially enjoyed spending time watching his grandchildren in their sporting events. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou of Kendallville, IN, daughter Ronda (Daniel Ellis) Neeley-Mason of TX, son Lyle (Suzi) Neeley of Kendallville, IN, three grandchildren Matthew and Jackson Neeley of IN, Laurin Mason of TX. He is also survived by his mother Mary Neeley, brother Gary Neeley, two sisters Fairly Nava, and Teresa Wass. He was preceded in death by his father, two grandchildren at birth, a brother Barry Neeley, and 2 nephews. Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-9pm with family present to greet friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services celebrating will take place on Wednesday at 1pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
