Larry Nice Obituary
Age 81, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
Larry is survived by his loving family, wife, Joanne Nice (Bedford), children, Larry (Laura) Nice Jr, Janet Elitzer, grandchildren, Brandon (Kate) Nice, Brittany (fiancé Mike Rickey) Nice, siblings, Roland Nice, Ruthellen Brown and sister in-law Doris Nice.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Donald & Myrtle Nice (Guldenpfennig), siblings, Donald (Cathlene) Nice, Marvin Nice and brother in-law Lester Brown.
Larry was a devoted fire fighter who rose through the ranks to Chief and Trustee over a period of 47 years within the Volunteer Frankfort Fire Protection District. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather as well as a longtime Dairy Farmer in Frankfort.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Frankfort Fire Department or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
