Larry Laverne Odom, passed away on February 25, 2025, in Evanston, Wyoming. He was born on November 16, 1953, in Heppner, Oregon, to Cecil and Lorraine (Carter) Odom. He graduated from Lyle High School in Lyle, Washington.
On July 1, 1977, he married Susan Marie Smith in Stevenson, Washington. Together they raised a son Michael.
Larry devoted 40 years to his craft as a taxidermist, showcasing his passion for nature and artistry. He later embraced jewelry making, spending the last 15 years of his career mastering the art. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family. Recently he was able to spend a week at Lake Powell on his boat where many new and lasting memories were made.
Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sue Odom; his son, Michael Odom; and his beloved grandchildren, Mersadee Odom and Peyton Odom. He is also survived by his mother, Lorraine Odom; his brother, Danny Odom (Luanna); his sister, Caren Odom; numerous nieces and nephews and his favorite little dog Cami who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Odom.
A viewing will be held, Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, Wyoming. All are invited to attend and share memories of Larry with his family.
