Larry Rega

1947 - 2022

Larry Rega, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, in Excela Health Frick Hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Dominec and Eleanor Tucci Rega. Larry was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School, Class of 1965. He served in the Marine Reserves. He was employed as a maintenance supervisor for the Westmoreland County Housing Authority. He was a member of the Polish Falcons Club and its golf league. He was also a member of the Merry Tavern Bowling League and the Bridgeport Sportsmen Club. He loved golfing and bowling and trips to the casino. Larry was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Leslie J. Mahokey Rega; his daughter, Kristina Bompiani, of Greensburg; his loving grandsons who were the light of his life and whom he never missed any of their activities, Domenic, Gino and Rocco Bompiani; one sister, Dometta Blacka and her husband, Bruce, of Mt. Pleasant; brother- and sisters-in-law, Donald and Karen Mahokey, of Connellsville, and Dawn Isaacson, of California. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Carol Milby. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., MT. Pleasant, PA 15666, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Pius X R.C. Church. Interment will follow in St. Pius X Cemetery.
