Larry D. Samuelson

May 30, 1943 - April 22, 2025

Larry D. Samuelson, 81, of Milan, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Allure of the Quad Cities, Moline. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Graveside services will be 12 p.m. on Monday, at the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Milan American Legion Post No. 569. Those wishing to attend the services at the National Cemetery should meet at the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. on Monday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Larry was born on May 30, 1943, in Rock Island, a son of Phillip and Myrna (Fee) Samuelson. Mr. Samuelson worked as a machinist at Caterpillar Inc., Mt. Joy, for many years until his retirement. He then worked at the President Riverboat Casino as Second Mate. Larry was a member of the Milan American Legion Post No. 569. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Larry was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include a son, Todd (Angela) Samuelson, Broken Arrow, Okla.; grandchildren, Emily and Riley; and a great-grandson, Castle; siblings, Sharon Clarke, Milan, and Randy (Windy) Samuelson, Moline; several nieces and nephews; and several great- and great-great nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Billy Samuelson and Dickie Samuelson.
