Larry B. “Scotty” Scott, Sr., 71, of Frankfort, died at 4:40 p.m., on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. He was born in Mount Dora, Florida on Saturday, June 16, 1951, the son of the late Jessie and Florine Wilson Scott. On April 29, 1972, he married the former Faye Conley, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Larry (Tessa) Scott, Jr. of Chillicothe, Carman Christopher (Tracy) Scott of Lafayette, IN, Carmelitta (Lee) Puckett of Coal Grove, Roseanne (Ryan) Pollock of Greenfield, eighteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Vivian (Eddie) Sparks of Rochester, NY, Forestine (Lee) of New York, three brothers, Jessie (Angie) Scott, Jr. of Little Rock, AR, Angelo (Theresa) White of Mount Dora, FL, Maurice White, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ajita Wilson of Italy, Scarlett, and one brother, Willie James.
Scotty retired after working forty-three years at Mead Paper Company in Chillicothe. He loved watching television, especially the original Star Trek. He also loved going to air shows with his family. His favorite jets to watch were the Thunderbirds.
A funeral service for Scotty will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 11 a.m., in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort, with Rev. Robert Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Family and friends can visit with Scotty’s family on Wednesday evening, May 3, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
