Larry L. Steele

Larry was the firstborn son in a family of nine children. Growing up in a Coast Guard family he lived in numerous locations throughout the US. Larry served three years during the Vietnam conflict. He was a door gunner on a helicopter gunship. After the army he began a 30 year career in the California Highway Patrol. Larry and his wife of 33 years lived in El Cajon in the house they built together. Larry passed away at the age of 70 after living with Dementia for many years. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two of his sisters. He is survived by his wife, three sisters and three brothers. Larry is making heaven laugh as he made his friends and family laugh. His sense of humor, kindness and generosity will be sorely missed by all.
