Larry Brent Stevens

Larry Stevens passed away Nov 6 at St. Therese at St. Odelia Hospice Home in Shoreview, Minnesota after being diagnosed with Parkinson and lung cancer.
Larry was born in Duluth, MN in 1944 to Dorothea and Sefton Stevens. Larry's father passed away when he was 5 and became the "man of the family". Larry developed an independence which was fostered by his experiences including traveling alone by bus from Duluth to Florida when he was only 12 years old.
He chose to attend high school at Duluth Central and was on the MN Boys Basketball State Championship team in 1961. Larry earned his undergraduate degree from Northland College in Wisconsin, while also playing football and basketball. He received his law degree from the University of Indiana School of Law. After beginning his law career at Honeywell Corp. in Minneapolis, he went out on his own and started Larry B. Stevens & Associates. His law firm focused primarily on Business and Real Estate Law.It thrived as Larry's sharp mind, outgoing personality, good humor and generous spirit endeared him to his clients and friends. He was a mentor to many young attorneys who worked for him for over 50 years until he retired in 2023.Larry was enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in the Merchant Mariner and received an honorable discharge.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Deborah, son Brent and stepchildren; Tristan, Robert, Nathan and Jacqueline.
A Celebration of Life will be at 12 PM on Friday, December 5th, 2025 at Honsa Family Funeral Home, 2460 East County Rd. E, White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 12 PM. Internment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, Minnesota at a later date.
