Larry Michael Stodden, 78, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on September 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Larry was born in Iowa and grew up in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. After serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, including time during the Vietnam War, he returned home and eventually settled in Arvada. He built a long and dedicated career with the Wheat Ridge Police Department, where he worked faithfully for over 30 years until his retirement.

Larry was known for his quiet strength, quick wit, and steady presence. He was a loving father who cared deeply for all of his children. Though Alzheimer's gradually took his memory in later years, his kindness and humor always shone through.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Michelle; his children, Chad (Jen) Stodden, Brett (Nikki) Stodden, Joshua (Alexi Gallardo) Stodden, Hannah (David Suri) Stodden and Christina Stodden; his 6 grandchildren, Kailey (Morgan) Williams, Kelsey (Aaron) Rudisill, Kaija Stodden, Chase (Alexis) Stodden, Connor Stodden, Maren Melonakis and his great granddaughter Adeline Stodden; his sisters Cherrie (Larry), Donelle (Al), Roxanne (Mark) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who will carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald Stodden and Mary Stodden, and his son, Aaron Stodden.

Larry will be remembered for his service, his humor, and the devotion he showed to both his work and his family.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date with details to come.
