Larry Thomas Carroll, Sr. Obituary
Guyton – Larry Thomas Carroll, Sr., 65, passed away January 24, 2026 at home.
The Effingham County native retired as a Captain from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office after many years of service. He enjoyed mornings at Parker’s, fishing with his son and grandson, and fixing whatever was broke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Garlon Carroll, Sr. and Catherine Fussell Carroll; and sister, Patricia Pollard.
Survivors include his wife, Marney Bradley; son, Thomas Carroll (Erin); grandson, Jackson Thomas Carroll; former wife, Amanda Carroll; brothers, Walter Pollard and Harry Carroll; sister, Lynda Christensen; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel, 2460 Hwy. 21 S., Rincon, GA 31326. 912-754-6421
