We had such good times together. It just seems like yesterday at times that I was at E-13 Preston Court at C.M.U. visiting Larry, Nancy & little Kenny. LA THOM and I were on our way to a magic show in his van on a really snowy day...roads were really bad. Jingle Bell Rock was playing on the radio and every time I hear that song I think of Larry. Thanks for the memories. Rest in Peace.

I just read on-line (8-25-21) that Larry had passed. What a great guy. I met him at Central Michigan University in 1963 and helped him with his magic shows. I had gotten into magic and learned so much from him. He gave me his escape box which I used for years doing my under-water escape. I always thought of Larry every time I performed that act.

I'm my family's genealogist and just came upon this obituary. My condolences to his family and friends. I'm wondering if he was the son of Bud Thompson. If so, he was a relative of mine and please let me know. Via the family tree (Ancestry), I can help keep his memory alive.

Larry Thompson was my teacher at Whittier Jr High School when I was in 7th grade. I had seen him on bozo the clown show and he was a great teacher as well as a great magician. I remember when he took my watch without me knowing it. He also did the same trick to my brother Mark who also had him as a teacher. I have fond memories of you Mr. Houdini, rest in peace until we meet again.

I worked for Mr Thompson my Junior year at Churchill HS in the Co-Op program. It was the most fun I ever had at a job. He was kind and generous with great advice. RIP Mr Whoodini. Thinking of the time I got to spend with you still brings a smile to my face.

Larry was a wonderful man who was a huge part of my childhood as Mr. Houdini on our local Bozo show with Art Cervi. As a fellow Magi, I was able to spend time with him discussing the trade and listening to wonderful stories of his career. He will truly be missed.
