Larry Dee Thompson

Larry Dee Thompson, 84, passed away Monday December 8, 2025, at 1:09 pm at the Kansas Veteran Home in Winfield, Kansas. His parents, Blanche McDole and Chester Rilegh Thompson, moved to Arkansas City when he was a small boy. He was preceded in death by twin sisters, Sean (Ce-ann) and Dean (Dee-ann), who died at youth, a younger brother, David Thompson, and nephew Phil Thompson, as well as other family members. After serving in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman and being honorably discharged after four years, he took over the family business, Thompson Pest Control, which his dad had started in 1949. Survived by three children; daughters Deeann and Darcy Ann Thompson, and son Christopher Ryan Hill (Thompson), all of Arkansas City. He had several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Larry was fond of electronics, guns, and cats, but mainly his cats in his later years. He was a God-fearing man who lived a good life. He was ready to go to heaven and be rid of his fleshly body and wanted his family to be happy that he went to a better place where he would be waiting to see them again. The ceremony date not been set.
