Oh Lord you have searched me and known me, you know when I sit down and when I rise up you discern my thoughts from afar;

Psalms 139:1-2

Our beloved Larry D. Toney "L Toney" danced his way into Heaven's gates on January 8, 2025, at 41. Larry was born on May 10th, 1983, to Manison Toney Sr. and Teresa Yrlas on Mother’s Day.

Larry joined Rosehill Baptist Church at a very young age, and at 6 years old was baptized. He was a member of the male chorus. He loved dancing and would be the first on the dance floor! Larry was always the best dressed wherever he went and made sure his car was just as clean. Cooking and being a food critic were his passion he’d tell you if your food wasn’t right. Larry would feed anyone who came into his presence! When it came down to a quick meal idea he would make it happen! Larry loved taking care of people, so getting his CNA license at the age of 18 was no surprise. He was employed at HealthSource in Saginaw for many years before leaving for Indiana where he worked in management for Janus International Group in Butler, Indiana. Larry moved back to Saginaw in 2021 and took care of a friend's ill grandfather until his passing.

Larry left a stamp on many hearts and was loved beyond measure. Three things were facts when being with Larry: you would laugh, eat, and dance! Larry was an all-around people person and was dearly loved!

Larry leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Teresa Yrlas; brothers, Manison (Jessica)Toney, and Danta Davis, Saginaw, Michigan; sister, Kasey (Mario) Ortman-Napier, Columbus, Ohio; grandmothers, Isabel Yrlas Wilson and Joyce Toney both of Saginaw, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Azaylia, Manison, Jayden, Amarionna, Amyahia, and Taelynn; uncles and aunts, Rodney (Katora) Cole, Tanya Ruff, Linda, Henry, Terry Pought, Jeff, Troy, and Reggie Wright, Blain Youngblood, Sedalia Jones, Glen McDuffy, and Lynn Foster; a host of many loving cousins and friends too many to name; godparents, Pastor Charles (Margaret) Roots; godsisters and brothers, Venita, Fatima, Marnike, Tarsha, Robert, Art, and Yusuf Mayo; special cousins, Isa and Katrina Watson; extended family, mother, Rosiland, Elliott, Torion, and Desiree Whittington; special friends, Brandy Jackson, Angel Box Tatum, Fareedah Fitzpatrick, Karen Palmer, and fur babies, Chase “Butt-Butt” and Apollo.

Larry was preceded in death by his dad, Manison Toney Sr; grandfathers, Roosevelt Liddell, Everett Toney, Wardell Brown, Robert Wilson “Big City;” his grandmother, Rebecca Wright; aunts, Jackie Pought and Cynthia Wright.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Covenant 5 East for their compassionate care; Pastos Frank and Rita Gallardo of Living Faith Family Ministries; Pastor Ernest Reed of Greater Solid Rock Baptist Church; Cynthia Reed Tillman, for all the love shown during this difficult time.
