Larry J. Uplinger

1940 - 2022

Larry J. Uplinger, 81, of Buckhorn Lane, Ridgway, PA, died on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at UPMC Cole in Coudersport, PA.

Born on December 23, 1940, in Brockway, PA, he was the son of the late Albert B. and Maxine E. Lindemuth Uplinger.

He was married to Joyce Papa on May 16, 2003 and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2019.

Retired, Larry had been employed at Brockway Glass as a supervisor. He was a member of the American Legion in Ridgway, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.

He is survived by a daughter Shari Glasgow of Illinois; two sons, Mark (Erica) Uplinger of Brockway and Chad (Angela) Uplinger of Erie, PA; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six step-daughters; nine step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, February 12 from 3-5 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway, PA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway.
