Larry Upton

Larry Bernard Upton, age 76, died on Sunday, January 11th, 2026, at his home in Portal, GA under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Larry was born on November 3rd, 1949, in Dunbar, PA to the late Roy Nelson Upton and Jean Marcella Upton. He was raised in Dunbar and following high school he joined the United States Air Force where he served 16 years before being honorably discharged. Larry worked as a fuel delivery driver for over 35 years and was currently employed with Suburban Propane. Not only a proud veteran and hard worker, he was also a dedicated family man, well known for being "World's Greatest Pap" and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Mary Jean Smitley, Wanda Sue Bigam, Barbara Jean Upton, Beverly Ann Hibbard, and his brother, Roy Lee Upton.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry Upton II and Chasidy Hart Upton, his daughter, Ramona Upton Stoots, grandchildren, Dusten Upton, Felicity Upton, Carson Upton, and Rusty Morris, Jessica Stoots, and Edward (Chelsea) Stoots, 6 great-grandchildren, his brothers, William Upton and Ronald Edward Upton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
