Larry Wayne Vanstory

Funeral services for Larry Wayne VanStory will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Toby Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in New Black Jack Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 from 12 noon until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
Mr. VanStory,73, of Philadelphia died Friday, April 26, 2024.
Larry was born in the MS Delta in Marks MS and attended school in Marks MS. He drove a log truck most of his life and was known as a great mechanic. He loved fishing, to sit outside and listen to country music and dearly loved his family and he will be missed by many. Mr. VanStory was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue VanStory of Philadelphia; daughter, Shirley VanStory Parkman (Kenneth) of Lena, MS; grandchildren; Skyler Sanderson (Colin) of Philadelphia, Brianna Leanne Parkman of Philadelphia and Tyler Blake Parkman of Carthage, MS; one great-grandchild, Raven Elizabeth Sanderson; sister, Darlene VanStory Albritton (Kenneth) of Farmerville, LA; several nieces, nephews and their families.
Mr. VanStory was preceded in death by his parents, James VanStory and Nellie Martin; sister, Teresa Gail VanStory; brothers, James, Carl and Gary VanStory.
Pallbearers, Zach Sanchez, Colin Sanderson, Thoine Ingram, Randy Townsend, Joseph Stanley and Randy Stanley.
