He was a great and funny man. Badly missed. He told me he was going to rework On Parole sometime in the future. A pity he didn't live to do that and more. I'm a proud collector of his stuff. Incidentally, he sent me a free Shagrat CD the first time we corresponded. His music always cheers me up when I'm down. My feelings go out to all who cared about him.

We were great mates at Michael Faraday School.I remember him getting his first guitar,a Hofner.I think in those days he was influenced by Duane Eddy.We were in touch by e mail recently.RIP Larry,thanks for the fun we had together

Larry was an intelligent, articulate, well read man with a great sense of humour and a sardonic wit. He was also a highly original guitarist with his own inimitable sound. I met him first as an enthusiast of the Fairies music and ended up having the privilege of managing the band for a short while at Larry's invitation. I'm saddened by the news of his death. A highly individual and unique man has gone from this earth. He will be missed. I love his music! Rest in peace Larry

So Sorry to hear this...Met Larry a few times 1981-1983ish on the rare few times he ventured across the river into north London.i shared a flat at that time with Sandy Sanderson,the Fairies bass player(who became ahero and mentor lol)..Larry was always v kind to me and one of my most treasured possessions is their 'Between The Lines' 45rpm,2nd single on Stiff,signed with messages from Sandy and Larry for my 21st birthday...RIP Larry and thanks...Ken Gregory
