Larry Wolfe Obituary

Larry Lee Wolfe, 74, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully September, 28, 2025, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO. He was born November 14, 1950 to George and Bettie (Nicewarner) Wolfe in Sedalia, MO. Larry was a 1968 graduate of Smith Cotton High School and proudly served his country in the US Army. On April 7, 1973, Larry was united in marriage to Dorcas Ann Vinson. Larry spent several years working as a pressman for the Sedalia Democrat and several other newspapers before retiring from the Independence Examiner in 2018. Larry is survived by his wife, Dorcas Wolfe of Blue Springs, MO; daughters, Stacey Wright (Eric) of Boston, KY; Christa Tyler (Jason) of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Justin Wright (Jaelyn); Jacob Wright (McKenzie); Zach Wright (Maddy); Braden Wright (Jasmine); Caden Tyler and Kaleigh Tyler; and great granddaughter Evie Wright. He is also survived by sisters, Linda Crain (Jim) of Cole Camp and Carol Wolfe of Sedalia, MO. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold Ray Wolfe. Larry had many nephews, cousins, and family-in-law that were close to his heart. A committal service will be held at the MO veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at a later date.
