known the lady for many years in the virtual world of secondlife. we talked a lot, off an on and got quite close for a while. she's one of the extremely few friends ive had that's lasted. even when others had drifted away or i had pushed them away, she stayed.
she's outright one of the best people ive ever known and will be sorely missed

I didn't know Magick( (Laura) that well, having met her well into the progression of her condition, and seeing her only very sparingly. But I always walked away from a conversation with her wanting to talk again. There was a kind of light that she brought with her into a room, and it felt a little deflating when she walked out. I trust that wherever she's gone to now, she's bringing comfort and delight to everyone there, just as she did here. My thoughts are with her family now, in their time of such great loss.

Our dear East Burke High School classmate Laura- few people in my entire 52 years have been as nice to me as you were dearest! Relentlessly smart, kind and thoughtful, the pain you endured is now over- cross over to joyful rest dearest. Judging from the warm messages from your Second Life community, you were dearly loved. My community of living cats send their love, as do I. Love, Tim

I knew Laura back when she lived in Cary. She gave me many gifts...some material but more importantly gifts of wisdom and gifts of spirit. I am glad we reconnected on the internet. Thank you for sharing so much with me.

I knew of Lady Magick, Laura, in the virtual world Second Life. Sadly, I did not really get to know HER, but i knew of her, how helpful and friendly she was. I enjoyed seeing her posts, and how she helped people. When I heard of her passing, I went out, and purchased one of the last virtual kitties that she had for sale, "live", so that i will have a bit of her. It's only virtual, but a bit of her will live on, in spirit.
My prayers go out to her family and friends, and I hope you know that she touched many a person around the world. She will be missed.

Like many, I knew Laura, as ' Magick ' through the Internet platform Second Life. We'd had some long conversations in this 3D Virtual World. As a person always she was willing to do to help others in their time of need. She was an expert Breeder in both pets and plants in the virtual system a was a willing tutor to new people. More than that she was chirpy and bright and straight up. MsMagick was a very great contributor to the kittyCats and other SL communities and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many.
My sincere condolences to her family, friends, and those who knew and loved her. The Magick will never be forgotten

I first met Laura at a convention in Boston in early 1996. She was a vibrant, amazing woman, but unfortunately we lost touch for a while. A few years ago, we suddenly came back into each other's lives, and I am grateful for those last few years of friendship the Universe let us have.
She will be so missed.

I knew her from the virtual world game Second Life. I am known as deadlycreature1 on the game. She was always caring and friendly to help people in the game who bred kittycats in the game. she liked to talk on voice and people liked talking back with her on voice. She helped me out with my cats in the second life game when i got confused and had questions. She bred amazing cats. Many people had great long conversations with her. she was very adored and loved so much by many people. May she rest in peace, but her spirit watch over all of us.

My heartfelt condolences to Laura's family. I knew her in a virtual world called Second Life, and her involvement in the various communities there will missed by many. Always kind, always there for a conversation, full of mystery and a big heart.

As Lady Magick (MsMagick), Laura was a warm and wonderful presence in Second Life, breeding beautiful virtual KittyCats and sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with other KittyCat breeders. She often used voice in Second Life and it is so hard to believe that we will never hear her voice again. She will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Laura's passing. I knew her online through Second Life as Lady Magick since we both ran in the same breedables groups. She was always kind and helpful and her presence in the community will be greatly missed. Much love to her friends and family in this time of loss. May you always remember the good times and may the sands of time diminish the sharp edges of grief swiftly.
