Laura Anne Lewis was born on December 9, 1971 to Ventura and Patricia Gonzales and raised alongside her 2 older brothers Rayne and Randee.

Laura’s childhood was an adventurous one. Defined by a fierce competitiveness and a old-soul maturity. She threw herself into sports like baseball, softball, and particularly basketball. Where her natural leadership, teamwork, and determination shined through.

From a young age, Laura was deeply loyal and protective of those she loved so fiercely. Always quick to comfort a friend and stubbornly devoted to her family and friends.

Laura attended schools in Shelley, Idaho. Graduating from Shelley High School in 1990.

In May of 1991, she brought her only son into this world. And in June of 1994, her only daughter. Laura poured herself into motherhood. Shaping their lives with her love and wisdom and always being their pillar of support, comfort and strength.

In May of 2014 Laura married her infinity, Jimmy Lewis, whom she adored with every ounce of her soul. She cherished their happy times together. Whether on vacation in Jamaica and Punta Cana or just watching a movie together in bed, those precious memories with him meant the world to her.

She loved her friends and family immensely, but nothing like how fiercely and deeply she loved her grandbabies. Mom was the best Amma that her 5 grandbabies could have ever asked for. The absolute best.

Laura is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lewis. Father, Ventura Gonzales. Son, Shayce Clark. Daughter, Brittni Messenger. Brothers, Rayne Gonzales and Randee (Heather) Gonzales. And her 5 grandchildren; Rayze, Kyler and Amelia Clark & Hayden and Oliver Messenger.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Gonzales and brother, Jay Gonzales.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, October 3, 2025 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street in Shelley. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. the funeral home.
