Laura Martin Obituary
She was born in Gloucester, MA on May 12, 1963, to the late James, Sr. and Virginia (Cooper) Knowles. Laura was a devoted caregiver, working for Visiting Angels. Volunteerism was a big part of her life, as she spent many years helping out at New Horizons Soup Kitchen, various churches, local animal shelters, and devoted her time to assisting those in need. She recently achieved 34 years of sobriety and helped others on their path to recovery by sponsoring and mentoring them. Visitors were always welcome in her home. They would be met with genuine happiness, hospitality, and the traditional, " Hey, how ya doing!"
She is survived by her only son, Dylan Knowles of Manchester, and his partner Maya Wilson of Concord; her daughter, Amanda Knowles of Gloucester, MA; a brother, James Knowles, Jr. of Gloucester, MA; and cousins. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Bailey.
A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Saturday, May 20th from 10:00 AM to Noon with a celebration of her life to follow in the funeral home chapel at Noon. Dylan and Friends and Family,
Laura, always willing to help, never complained, always asking me to pray for someone she knew who needed prayers.
She lived the teachings and wisdom of Jesus here .
Eternal life is promised, and that what Larua is enjoying. As you grieve your loss, put your Trust and Faith in Christ.
