WESTFORD - Laura Mary Enrico, 72, of Westford passed peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024, surrounded by her family. She is survived and missed greatly by her devoted husband of 43 years Kenny as well as her sons Leo (Jenna) and Sam. She was the proudest grandmother “Gams” to Casey and Brody. She is predeceased by her parents Leo and Laura Gutoski, brother Butch and sister Bitsy. She finally gets to hold and hug her grandson baby Jay Thomas who passed in September 2018.
Laura was born and raised in Cambridge, attending St. Peter’s parochial school. She led an exciting career as an OR scrub nurse at Cambridge City Hospital. She left the OR to raise her boys, who gave her the greatest joys. She was fiercely proud of Leo and Sam and their endeavors, both joining the military after graduating high school. Both returned safely HOME to her after completing their service.
Laura loved to welcome and entertain and cook. She thrived on “Friday nights” at the 112 kitchen full of family and friends, selecting the perfect crazy beautiful hat for the yearly Derby party, and making her kitchen covered in flour from secret Enrico Family recipe ravioli and chrusciki. She would reminisce about her many adventures and travels and her love of driving fast in her little red race car. Most of all she adored caring for, feeding and being surrounded by those she loved.
Laura’s life will be remembered and celebrated at her Funeral Mass at Blessed Trinity Parish-St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main Street, Westford on Saturday, February 10, at 9 AM. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Laura’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
