Laura Gentry Mullis, 65, of Gilbert SC, passed away at her home July 17, 2024.
She was born in Würzburg, Germany to the late Sgt. James T. Gentry and Loretta Gentry Horton of West Columbia.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Nicole Jordan and grandchildren, Ashton, Zakiah, and Neveah, son, Christopher Jordan and grandchildren, Bryce, Layla and Addison, and her loving fur baby, Jack.
She is also survived by her parents, Doug and Loretta Horton, sister, Carolyn Gentry, of West Columbia, SC, sister, Paula Gentry Talley (Gary) of New Milton, WV, niece, Katie Gentry (Sam), nephews, Jeremiah Gentry, Tanner Gentry, Tracy Mills (Ashley) and great-nephews and niece. Jax and Leo Blackman and Elias and Willa Mills.
She is preceded in death by her father, James T. Gentry, husband, Michael Mullis, brother, James T. Gentry II and nephew, Thomas James Mills.
She was employed by Construction Dynamics, Inc. who she also considered family.
Laura fought a courageous fight, with humor, spunk and grace. She enjoyed gardening, and took pride in her yard and huge house plants.
She loved the ocean and her "butt in a chair and toes in the sand."
Her favorite thing was being "Nana" and she loved, supported and spoiled her grandchildren.
Honoring her wishes, (and she promised she would haunt us, if we didn't,) there will be no service. She wanted a private celebration of her life and the family will do that together.
