Laura Rivera Naputi "Mama Laura" passed away at her home in Spanaway Washington after a hard fought battle with

cancer. She died at the age of 79 on September 25th, 2025. Laura Naputi was surrounded by her loving husband Francisco Naputi, her sister, Angela Naputi, her son Joel Naputi, her loving nieces and nephews, and grandchildren at the time of her passing.

Laura Rivera Naputi was born on October 19, 1945 in Ensenada Baja California, Mexico to Maria Guadalupe Tirado Castro and Eugenio Rivera Cota. She was a loving sister to Irma Rivera Tirado, Maria Elena Rivera, Angela Rivera Naputi (Mommy Angie), Juan Gabriel Rivera, Joaquin Eugenio Rivera, Jose Roberto Rivera. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugenio Rivera Cota and Maria Guadalupe Cota, her sister, Maria Elena Rivera, and her brothers Juan Gabriel Rivera, and Joaquin Eugenio Rivera. Laura Rivera Naputi is survived by her loving husband Francisco Naputi, her two sons, Jesus Rivera Naputi and Joel Adrian Naputi, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces, and nephews.

Laura Rivera Naputi was the grand matriarch of the Naputi and Rivera family. Her loving and caring nature showed throughout her life as she always opened her heart, her arms and her home to any of her family and friends that ever needed a guiding and loving hand in their life. She loved all of her family deeply and passionately until her final breath. Her love and passion for her family was proven daily by the wonderful tastes and smells of her kitchen as she always had a meal ready to eat when you came home. Along with her love of cooking, she had a strong passion for fishing and Bingo games!

Memorial cards, prayers or donations may be forwarded to the family at the time of the visitation or memorial services.

Viewing visitation will be at 12:00pm on Thursday October 2nd, 2025 followed immediately by a memorial service at 1:00pm at Fir Lane Funeral Home, Spanaway Washington.
