Laura Jo (Findley) Ruck, 64, was taken far too soon from her family and friends on August 30, 2021. She was born February 3, 1957, in St. Louis, MO to Lawrence J. Findley and Charlotte J. (Robinson) Findley.

In February of 1974, she married the love of her life, Robert M. Ruck. Together they had two children, Sarah Ruck and Benjamin (Tracie) Ruck.

In addition to Bob, Sarah and Ben, Laura ("G?gg") leaves behind five grandsons (Tristan, Hunter, Cooper, Jonathon, and Simon), one great-granddaughter (Adelyn), her sisters Francie and Kathy, her brothers Jack and Dan (Katie), and an extensive community of family and friends.

Laura excelled at loving others; she didn't know a stranger. She courageously accepted a MS diagnosis in 1992 without complaint and refused to allow it to define her. She continued to live an active life bowling, reading, shopping, going to The Muny as well as fundraising tens of thousands of dollars for Multiple Sclerosis research. She also loved traveling with Bob over the last 20 years, exploring Hawaii, the Southwestern U.S., and the U.S. & Canadian Rockies among the destinations. However, spending time with those she loved was her most valued treasure.

She will be missed dearly and cherished always. Fly high, Sweet Angel!

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Laura's life to take place in Manchester, MO at the Paul A. Schroeder City Park, Pavilion #1, on October 10, 2021, from 12 pm – 6 pm.

In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests that a memorial contribution in Laura's name be made to the National MS Society – Gateway Area Chapter. "https://mssociety.donordrive.com/campaign/Laura-J-Ruck"
