Laurel Thais Denny

Laurel Thais Denny, age 57, of Hammond, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at her home.
Laurel was born May 1, 1965 in Minneapolis, MN to Donald and Joyce (Matthews) Denny. In the summer of 2007, she began her partnership with Mark Broker. Their marriage gifted them with three boys Matthew, Ethan and Raini.
Laurel was a lovely woman with a beautiful soul. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, friend and nurse made her a blessing to all of the lives she touched in her time. Laurel knew no bounds when it came to supporting those around her, she sacrificed her time and energy to make sure everyone around her had everything they needed. Her meticulous and curious nature allowed her to observe and study the world and always had her eager to learn more. This made her great at reading the people around her and without fail she always offered an ear, for happy or sad feelings. Along with her forgivingness Laurel was also stubborn and determined. She wouldn't let anything stand in her way of opportunity, although she always looked for a good deal. She enjoyed thrifting with her best friend Su and would spend hours looking for the best bargains to bring home. Caring for her grandchildren was a treat and a blessing that truly made her happy each and every time she saw them. Laurel lived her life to serve others and took in every moment with grace and a welcoming smile. She will be dearly missed by all of those who knew her.
Laurel will remain in the hearts of her husband: Mark Broker; sons: Matthew (Sheena), Ethan (Andrea) and Raini; grandchildren: Kai, Marcelo, and Mia; her best friend: Su; her precious cats: Mufasa, Winston and Ashes; Sister: Justine; along with her parents. She was preceded in death by her angel baby.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately by her family.
