Laurel Howard, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on the 31st of October, 2025. Born in Athol, MA, on October 26, 1951, to Albert and Avis Wessell, Laurel's life was a testament to the power of love, creativity, and humor. Her journey was an intertwining tapestry of simple pleasures and profound connections, and her legacy will endure in the hearts of those she touched.

Creative and funny, Laurel was a vibrant soul whose laughter was infectious and whose sense of humor was a beacon of light. Her love for coloring and puzzles was not merely a hobby, but a testament to her innate creativity and her ability to make sense of the world around her. Laurel's dedication as a secretary at MWB in Orange, MA, was a testament to her loyalty and commitment, qualities that extended beyond her professional life and were deeply ingrained in her personal relationships as well. A well-loved resident of 125 Horton Rd, Orange, MA, Laurel was known and loved for her kindness, her vivacious spirit, and her unwavering loyalty to her family and her dogs, the cornerstones of her world.

Laurel lived her life with a loving heart, and to quote Maya Angelou, "In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine." She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Howard; her sister, Sharon King; and her beloved granddaughters, Samantha and Serenity Howard. Laurel was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Avis Wessell. The void left by her departure is immeasurable, but the love and laughter she instilled in us will forever be a part of our lives.

We invite everyone who knew and loved Laurel to leave memories and upload photos below. Your stories and pictures will help us remember and celebrate the life of this wonderful woman, whose spirit will continue to inspire us.
