Lauren Rebecca Padgett, 44, of Batesburg-Leesville, SC, passed away on September 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 4, 1981, she was the cherished daughter of Jerry and Rebecca Padgett.
Lauren will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and a true light to everyone who knew her. She had a heart of gold and a deep love for her family, always putting them first in everything she did. A talented and hardworking brick, block, and stone mason, Lauren also specialized in concrete work. She took great pride in her craft and spent many years working alongside her father, proudly earning the nickname, “her Daddy’s left arm.”
She is survived by her children, Caleb Farnsworth, Ryker Sides, and Nola Sides; husband, Zach Sides; brothers, Trevor Padgett (Jessica) and Troy Padgett (Arora); her grandfather, Ernest T. Padgett; and her loving aunts and uncles, Troyce Jones (Shon), Frankie Ripley (Charles), and Buddy Padgett (Terri). In addition to her grandparents, Troy and Margaret Temples, and Frances Padgett, Lauren was preceded in death by her cousin, Ricky Pou.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 o'clock on Thursday, October 2nd at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Lear officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Milton Shealy Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
Lauren will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
