Lauren Penen, beloved wife, daughter, sister, stepmother, and friend, passed away suddenly, leaving a profound and immeasurable void in the lives of all who loved her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generous spirit, and the unmistakable warmth of her smile and laughter.

Lauren often said that her life truly began in 2019, when she met the love of her life, her wife Kristy, in Utah. Together, they built a devoted partnership rooted in mutual support, growth, and unwavering loyalty. Their bond was one of rare depth - two people who lifted each other up, encouraged one another, and became, in every sense, each other's person.

Lauren held a deep and abiding love for her family. She was the cherished daughter of Lily and Tony, and of Mitch and Claudia. She was a loving sister to Michael and his wife Bella, Blake and his wife Josette Heather and her husband Graham, and niece Faith, and Tony III. She adored her niece's and nephew and took great joy in being part of their lives.

She touched many hearts with her compassion, humor, and steady presence. Lauren was proud to be stepmother to Makenzi and Sean, and she treasured the companionship of her beloved pets, Honey and Joey. Those who knew her well often remarked that although she carried a tough New York exterior, beneath it was a gentle, softhearted woman who cared deeply and loved without reservation.

Lauren approached life with dedication and humility. She was a hard worker who always sought to contribute, help others, and make a positive difference in any way she could. Her sudden passing has left her family, friends, and community devastated, as the world is dimmer without her light.
