Laurence Ray Crawford, age 67, of Mount Pleasant, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2024. Laurence was born to Kenneth Crawford and Delores Brown in Brownsville, Texas on January 8, 1957. Laurence married Bennie L. (Windle) Crawford in Lake Texoma on June 7, 1980. Laurence was a native of New Mexico where he graduated from Tatum High School in Tatum, New Mexico class of ‘75. He was a retired construction contractor, supervising foreman, and employee of Halliburton Construction in Kandahar, Afghanistan, as well as his own small construction business. He was an avid hunter, trapper and outdoorsman.
Laurence in survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Bennie L. (Windle) Crawford, his stepchildren; Dana Barton, Delilah “Dee Dee” Olk, and Jimmy Windle, his brother Danny Brown, his sister; Tammy Copeland, Mitzi Maynard, and Denise Crawford, Laurence was also blessed with 6 step grandchildren as well as many great grandchildren. He also had numerous nieces and nephews that he loved and cherished.
Laurence is preceded in death by his mother, Delores Brown, his father, Kenneth Crawford, and his brother Teddy Martin.
Laurence will be greatly missed and forever remembered by those who loved him most.
Rest in eternal love and peace until we are together again.

Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
