Uncle Winky was such a gift to our family. His kind and gentle spirit, his selfless generosity. So many things in my life would not have been possible without him. I am forever grateful to have shared him - he was like a second father to me. I love you so much Uncle Wink - you have left so many beautiful memories. I will carry you in my heart as long as I live.

I was fortunate enough to know Wink for a short time. He was one of the sweetest men I've ever met. His smile was infectious. He was kind and loving. I know he will be gratefully missed.

Wingerter Family,
I am saddened to hear of Winks passing. We were acquainted in 2009 and corresponded for a time until I guess that our lives took different paths and we lost touch with one another. Wink was a good friend and will be missed.

Lee, I'm so sorry to hear about Wink's passing. You think I would know exactly what to say but all I know to say is that I am thinking of you and sending my love to you both.

Wink was so generous with his knowledge and spirit. I'll never forget him taking Sean to tour prospective colleges - it was a wonderful adventure for Sean and I hope, Wink as well. But who would do something like that for a someone who was a friend and not a relative? Wink was so giving behind the scenes and never looked for recognition. He was as selfless as they come. Thanks for sharing him with us! I'm so sorry for your loss and will be praying for you and your family.

Greatly loved and greatly missed. He is surrounded by loved ones both two and four footed on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. He was always a joy to visit with, a keen intelligence and loving soul shining through!

Wink was a special loving husband who supported Lee in every way possible. We knew him as a kind and gracious friend who was always hospitable. We hope his resting in peace will bring comfort to Lee.

Death is a bittersweet release, freedom from worry, pain, confusion. But our Lord hears the cries of his children and welcomes them with open arms, offering comfort and His peace that passes understanding. The two of you provided support and encouragement to me "way back when" and I appreciate that we still call each other friend.

Dearest Lee, I am so sorry to hear this heartbreaking news, but I am profoundly relieved that Wink is now at peace. He was indeed one of the nicest people that I have ever met, and you two were nothing less than perfect together. You and Wink were an unexpected safe harbour for me ages ago that led to one of my longest and most endearing relationships. I miss you both and feel your loss. My love to you Mom.
