Laurin Danielle Curtis passed into the loving arms of Jesus Monday, April 17, 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was 29 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Florence. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories in Florence.
Laurin was born on June 16, 1993, to Carl Wayne Curtis and Christina Ann Rucker Curtis in Flowood, Mississippi. She lived in Florence all her life. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church but also attended Mt. Creek Baptist and Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. She was an avid hunter. Loved playing soccer in High School and playing drumline in the band. She loved water skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding and tubing. Laurin had a beautiful personality and infectious smile and laugh. She loved her nieces, nephews and Jesus.
Laurin is preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Shirley Martin. She is survived by her parents, Wayne and Christy Curtis of Florence; siblings, Alicia Marie Jimenez (Ramiro) of Portland, TN, Christopher Wayne Curtis (Kendalle) of Florence, MS; maternal grandparents, Albert and Joyce Rucker of Florence; nieces and nephews, Dalton, Londyn, and Wyatt Floyd; Elizabeth and Luke Curtis; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
