Shannon Lynn Prentiss

Shannon Lynn Prentiss, 43, passed away peacefully December 25, 2022, after a short but courageous battle with a rare cancer.
Shannon was born in San Antonio, TX to Jack and Debbie Prentiss. She graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 1997 and Texas Lutheran University in 2001.
She served in the U.S. Air Force for nine years with five of those years in Ramstein, Germany. She was an 8th grade U.S. History teacher for seven years and loved all of her students. She had accepted a civil service position in Colorado Springs, CO before her diagnosis.
She is survived by her mother, Debbie; Aunts Joyce Anderson and Kathy Paulson; Uncles Hank (Barbara), Jim (Betty Anne) and Tom Prentiss.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jack, Uncle Ray Prentiss, grandparents Al and Hazel Penland and Bob and Nora Prentiss.
Shannon was also preceded in death by special friends Kim Penneina and Todd Brown.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
A Memorial Service for Shannon will be held at Schertz Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with a Visitation beginning at 12:00 PM.
