Lawrence Bickel Obituary
Larry was a graduate of Doss High School class of 76, where he played baseball. Later in life Larry followed the footsteps of his dad, and brothers, and joined the Electrical Union IBEW 369, where he retired after 27 years of service. On Sundays you could find Larry either playing golf, or watching his favorite football teams the Louisville Cardinals, or the Cincinnati Bengals or his nascar races.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Joyce Bickel.
Larry is survived by beloved wife of 47 years Cindy Bickel, his beloved children, son Joseph Bickel and daughter Chelsi Lankswert (Daniel); brothers Terry Bickel (Pat), Danny Bickel (Lisa), sisters Tammy Bickel (Connie), and Joy Bickel (Jen) with a host of nieces, nephews, and many many friends.
Larry will be missed by all those that loved and knew him.
Funeral service will be Wednesday October 22, 2025 at 6:00pm Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

We met in 2013 when he came into my store, making a suggestion that we order Miami Sweets. From that day forward we always called him Miami! It took a long while before I ever learned his name was Larry! I went to some 4th of July and Derby parties at his home and good times were had. Special thoughts and prayers to his family....jan
