Lawrence Edward Bolden

Lawrence Edward Bolden, age 86, entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Friday, August 18, 2023. He was a native of Jackson, LA and a longtime resident of Kenner, LA. Lawrence was a retired welder and a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 60 Union. He was a devoted and faithful member of Community Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for over 40 years. Lawrence, who was known to his siblings as "Bubba", lived life to the fullest, he enjoyed fishing, traveling, singing, listening to Gospel Quartet Singers, and watching sports. Beloved husband for over 60 years to Lottie Bolden. Loving father of Joann (Mitchell) King, Lawrence Edward (Rhonda) Bolden, Jr., Lee Bolden, Eugene (Deborah) Bolden, Chantell Bolden, Chanquell Michel, and the late Gregory Bolden. Stepfather of the late Wayne and Joseph Powell. Son of the late Henry and Iona Bolden. Brother of Flora Bolden, Alma Bolden, Louise Woods, Doretha "Diane" Hill, Gloria "Reese" Hill, and the late Charlie Minor and Howard Bolden. Brother-in-law of Louida Bolden; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Community Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Community Baptist Church, 116 Florida Street, River Ridge, LA on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Robert Tanner, officiating.
