Lawrence Brown, Sr 76, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was the fourth of nine children, born February 13, 1949, in Baltimore MD to the late Laccie Cartrel Brown Sr & Cammie Brown.
Lawrence graduated from Dundalk High School, where he ran track. He joined the United States Army on June 9, 1969 and served two years active duty, where he received a NATIONAL DEFENSE SERVICE MEDAL and served several years in The Army Reserves, exiting with an Honorable Discharge on May 1, 1984.
Lawrence was a hard worker, excellent provider and a man's man. He made sure his family and children were well taken care of, by working tons of overtime, several part time jobs and a few side hustles. He started his career at Western Electric in Baltimore, MD and was relocated to Allentown, PA in 1985 to work for AT&T who acquired Western Electric. He retired December 20, 2002. He worked part time with the Bethlehem Area School District and Lehigh Valley Charter School for several years.
Lawrence was known for his straight forwardness. Known to be a true friend and his loved music, although he could not carry a tune. He was an excellent cook, a sharp dresser, kept a clean car and was a faithful servant at St. Paul Baptist church as an usher and a cook/kitchen detail. He showed up whenever needed.
Lawrence was united in marriage to Brenda (Jackson), October 4, 1997, which created a blended family of six children. Purnell Brown (preceded in death), Kristol L. Nelson (Smith), Lawrence Brown, Jr (preceded in death), Andre D. Smith, Tennille R. Brown and Justin Brown.
His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren (Antoine, Treyvonn, Denise, Autumn, Darnell, Isaiah, Miguel, Braylon and Briele), four great-grand children, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and his siblings: Lacey Brown, Sr (Roberta) - preceded in death. Emma Ellis (preceded in death), Theodore L Brown (Marlene - preceded in death), James Arthur (Yvonne) preceded in death, Leroy Brown (Valarie), Sidney Louis Brown (Sharon), June Loretta McClain (Jesse) and April M. Meyers (Bill). His devoted friends: Robert Bailey, Larry Neal and Curtis Edwards. and host of family and friends.

Funeral Services will take place at 11AM Saturday January 10, 2026 in St. Paul Baptist Church 925 E. Goepp St. Bethlehem, PA Visitation begins at 10AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow services in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
